Say No Plastic Save Our PlanetWhat can we do?
In addition to getting in touch with governments and also corporations to do their part in decreasing single-use plastic air pollution, we can all take essential action in our own lives to make an adjustment. Join us in taking action to battle plastic pollution.
Plastic waste is fast becoming a widely recognised problem. While it is an important material for our economy, providing multiple benefits to modern-day living, plastic can take thousands of years to biodegrade. It takes up valuable space in landfill sites and is polluting the natural
Earth—our beloved home—is a vibrant world where only one of 8.7 million species spawned on this planet since time immemorial. For the first time, it faces potential danger through human activity by using plastic extensively.
The fate and future of our very own universe depend solely on us, the inhabitants of Earth, to save it from impending peril. We don’t have any other option but to do so – even though we’re entirely at a loss for how to alter the nature of humanity suddenly enough to adjust our policies and our behaviours as we’re currently accustomed to them both today.
Benefits of not using plastic
Humanity has never known how to rid itself of its tendency to overproduce completely. In the modern era, that often means plastic, a material so ingrained in our everyday lives that it’s hard to avoid completely. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t cope better with this excess as we have done many times in the past; by reducing consumption and understanding the benefits of not using disposable plastic, humanity is more likely to make more sustainable choices in the future.
We must become more conscious of our consumption habits as a first step. By making fewer disposables such as plastic shopping bags or plastic water bottles a priority in our lives, humanity will push for change more easily than if more people rely on this convenient lifestyle.
Less Production of Carbon-Dioxide: With escalating temperatures and climate change on everyone’s minds in recent times, it is becoming more vital than ever before to seek viable solutions to combat the threats posed by fossil fuels. By reducing your disposable plastic consumption, you’re also reducing the demand for it, which means whoever you are buying it from is less likely to keep making it. So if we want large corporations to make less plastic in our capitalist economy, one of the best ways is to stop buying their plastic products.
Save Lives of Animals: Approximately 5 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide each year. As a result, over 100,000 marine animals and over 1 million seabirds die every year from ingesting or becoming entangled in plastics in the ocean. So if the use of plastic is reduced, then the lives of the animals can be saved.
Save Human’s Lives: The chemicals that can be found in plastic, like BPA, for example, pose severe health threats when released inside our bodies. A recent study pointed out that searching for “BPA” on the CDC’s website will return more than 100 disease-related results, such as Cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, Arthritis, Diabetes, and much more.
Bottom-Line:
In conclusion, plastic can be used for multiple purposes has helped its prevalence in everyday life. However, the problem of over-consumption looms large, and although plastic may not be completely removed from our lives, it can be used more sustainably. As more and more people become aware of the benefits of sustainability, hopefully, the plastic problem will be solved.
