This very dapper gentleman went home today. ❤️

Created from a much-loved Dad's jacket, this keepsake bear was designed to capture not just the fabric, but the memory of a very special occasion.

To recreate an outfit that Dad wore and was remembered for, we carefully added extra fabrics to create a crisp white shirt, navy tie and matching navy trousers. The jacket is fully lined with pockets and is removable. The result is a truly personal keepsake that reflects not only who he was, but a treasured moment in time.

Many people don't realise that memory bears can be enhanced with additional fabrics and special details to recreate favourite outfits, uniforms, hobbies or cherished memories. Whether it's a tie, shirt, dress, collar, bow, embroidered name, date or meaningful message, we can work together to create something uniquely personal.

Every bear tells a story, and this handsome chap has a very special one to tell. 💙

I do love making memory quilts… but I definitely deserve a brew and a biscuit after this one ☕🍪🙈

This may only be a “small” quilt at approx 75cm x 105cm , but she’s HEAVY!

Made with:
🧵35 squares, some individually quilted
🧵 Additional appliqué
🧵 2 layers of vintage-style heirloom batting
🧵 A layer of 100% cotton
🧵 Finished with the softest fur fleece backing

My neck and arms are absolutely on fire after wrestling this through the sewing machine!

But honestly… the weight, softness and additions to these quilts is exactly what makes them feel so special and heirloom-worthy 🤍

Alongside memory bears, I also create bespoke memory quilts from treasured clothing — perfect for baby clothes, loved one’s clothing, uniforms and sentimental fabrics you just can’t part with 🧸✨

Oooh back to where it all started for me this week… quilts 🧵💕

A cot size baby grow memory quilt, and honestly it’s coming together so cute!

I’ve got the main layout pieced together with added appliqué details and individual quilted squares to give it lots of texture and character. Tomorrow I’ll start the backing and final quilting process 😊
