🍴 WE’RE HIRING – KITCHEN ASSISTANT / COOK 👩‍🍳

We’re looking for experienced, hardworking and reliable members to join our busy, fast-paced kitchen team at Four Seasons Coffee Shop! 💚

We currently have:

🔹 30-hour position
🔹 16-hour position

📅 Both positions will include 1 weekend day every week.

⏰ Shifts will be between 8am–5pm.

Due to the fast-paced nature of our kitchen, commercial kitchen experience is essential. Applicants must have:

✅ 1+ year commercial kitchen experience
✅ Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
✅ Ability to work efficiently under pressure
✅ A positive, hardworking attitude and strong team spirit

This is a hands-on role in a very busy kitchen, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and ready to get stuck in!

Add a splash of colour to your garden with a beautiful Acer (Japanese Maple). From rich reds and deep burgundies to vibrant greens, golds and oranges, Acers make a stunning feature in UK gardens and are also perfect for patios and smaller spaces.

🌿 Planting your Acer in the garden
Choose a sheltered spot in sun or partial shade, protected from strong winds and harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch delicate leaves. Plant into moist but well-drained soil and avoid waterlogged ground.

🪴 Growing Acers in pots
Acers are fantastic container plants. Choose a pot with good drainage holes and use a suitable ericaceous or loam-based compost. Keep the compost consistently moist during warmer weather, but don’t leave the pot standing in water.

💧 Looking after your Acer
Water regularly during dry spells, particularly newly planted Acers and those growing in containers. Rainwater is ideal where possible, especially in hard-water areas. A layer of mulch around garden-grown plants can help retain moisture and protect the roots.

✂️ Pruning
Acers generally need very little pruning. Simply remove dead, damaged or crossing branches when necessary. Avoid heavy pruning and, where possible, prune while the tree is dormant.

❄️ Winter care
Established Acers are generally hardy in the UK, but container-grown plants are more vulnerable to freezing roots. During particularly cold spells, move pots to a sheltered position or protect the container.
