Rock Paper Scissors Shades Bespoke lampshades (& the odd cushion or two) made in South East London. Hard (drum) & traditional soft shades.

Lampshade maker in South East London producing handmade, bespoke drum and traditional soft lampshades plus the odd cushion or two! You can send me your own fabric, choose from my in stock fabrics or give me a theme and I'll source the required materials. Drum lampshades can be made with different inners; metallic, double sided with fabric or paper etc and come in various sizes (see my pinned post)

Bit of a break from shading while I started my new permanent role in my other job & had a trip to beautiful Berlin but workshop dates are back at .
8 dates booked in for June and July with August/ September up soon.
Book in now via Denna's website or message one of us if you'd like a private booking, I don't work on Fridays and am more than happy to make that "Shade-day".

So it's been a while but I'm back! Realised earlier that, due to the craziness of the start of 2026, I haven't posted since Christmas! Lampshade workshops have been on & some beautiful shades have been made. Two more dates available for March & dates for the next couple of months will be up on Denna's website soon.
I have a gorgeous velvet soft shade on the go (but I had to have a break as I injured my finger stacking chairs at my other job & I need all of them for pinning!), some lovely fabric ready for cushion covers & I'm updating stock photos for a post soon.

With all the Christmas shenanigans and my son's birthday (due on Xmas Day!) i forgot to post this!

Last weekend I ran my first lampshade workshop in a while & it was a corker. 

A Mum & her two daughters, with some great family competitiveness, produced 3 wonderful shades. 

I've had to have a few (unplanned) months off this year (non-shady life has been hectic, to say the least) but I am back & will be getting more dates in this week. 

I have shades ready to dispatch, including the last 2 stripey ones I made, & am reopening my custom order book soon, so please get in touch if you're interested.

I know I've not been posting much recently but my shady life has been quietly bubbling away in the back ground recently, working on more unusual shaped shades & admin but non-shady life is hectic.
Eldest has his GCSE's, Mr R is training for a big cycling event & we've had the playoffs. Thanks to my Dad and my Great Uncle Ont I'm a Charlton fan & yesterday they were promoted back into the Championship after 5 years away & kist like my hoody I've always had hope.
Wembley was amazing as always (& if you get tickets there go for Club Wembley seats, they're padded, your bottom will thank me after 😁!) & the 38,000 Charlton fans were fantastic.
Bit sad as looks like my favourite player is leaving but we have some outstanding academy players coming through the ranks & a great manager.
Up the Addicks!

Lovely early workshop this morning (guess who forgot about the clocks and booked it for 9am?!) Followed by a wonderful Mother's Day/ Wedding Anniversary lunch in Spitalfields which, included free Aperol Spritz, desert & 5 yellow tulips & now TV, sofa, b**r & creamy doughnut. Couldn't get a better Sunday tbh!

I've been quietly working on the most challenging shades ever but now I'm back! Those shades have now been safely delivered (I'll post about them soon) & the next thing in my calendar is a workshop on Sunday 30th .

It's half term, the sun has been out, it's week & my February workshop is this Thursday, I'm so happy! Now I just need to decide what shade I will make.
Tickets are still available for all listed workshops on House of Denna & we'll get post Easter dates on the schedule soon.
The unusual shades are underway, but it's too cold to spray paint, so the frame restoration has taken longer than normal. One should be finished by the end of the week.
