Inspired by a stream winding through fields and grass meadows, this glassblown lamp captures something of the quiet beauty of the Scottish Borders landscape.

The beginning of a blown glass lamp.
Gathered from the furnace, the molten glass begins to take shape. Gradually building the form - through shaping, heating and blowing, adding colour, creating the character of each piece.
We currently have five handmade glass lamps available to explore on our website, with more to come.

In the workshop: Andrew is creating a series of slumped glass pieces. Layering cut-offs from blown pieces, they are set up and placed in the slumping kiln overnight. This piece is a study in green & blue.

A closer look at one of our handmade glass paperweights with uplighting.

These pieces have been beautifully transformed through faceting by Archie Anderson, whose skill has revealed new patterns, reflections and depth within the glass.

This piece is one in the series of a collaboration between three Scottish craftspeople - our glassmaking and the art of faceting - bringing out something truly special in each piece.
