Meet Tom and Sue❤️ They’ve been married for 61 years and live in Chelsfield. They pop into our centre four times a week for their coffee, and we’ve been privileged to hear all about the current project Tom has been busy with at home.
Tom has built his own miniature winter scene, with snowy mountains and all the little details that make a Lemax display so special. He told us it took him an entire week to put together, using papier-mâché and plywood to hide the batteries and cables, while Sue doesn’t keep the hoover too far behind him.
Tom has already set his display up this October, ready to enjoy on those cosy winter evenings. They mentioned his great-grandchildren having been mesmerised by the display watching as the little world goes by, completely absorbed by his creation.
Tom had one problem however… a little gap in his display needed filling and it couldn’t be too big or too small, it had to be… perfect! So, when Sue and Tom came back to see us on Monday, they had a look through our Lemax pieces and found the right one to add to his creation.
As for putting it up in October, we say why not? There’s no such thing as too early when something brings this much joy. We wish Tom, Sue and their family many happy evenings with the finished display and look forward to hearing what their great-grandchildren think of the new addition! ❤️
