Hello everyone and happy new year to you all !
Below are some pictures of a recent on-site carve that I did at a camp site
Now as I’m sure most of you already know I started this page with a view to separate my chainsaw work from my more artistic woodwork which it has but my content for both pages has declined as I either forget to take pictures and post or can’t post relevant info where I want to so in an effort to sort this and improve my content and online presence I’m going to close this page down in two weeks time and post everything I do on my original business page ,I’m terrible with the whole computer thing so can’t offer a link but if you do a search for Darren Wheeler RPT woodturner/ Sculptor

2023 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year ,I’m already booked into some incredible events ,some old favourites and really exciting new ones both locally and as far away as Suffolk,I’m also intending to open to the public here at the workshop in Shaftesbury more often allowing more of you to come and explore what’s on offer ,I’ve also an exciting option coming online in the next couple of months which will see me offering an on site Milling service to you ,this will either allow you to use your own timber for a project or allow your memories of a special tree to live on with a commissioned piece wether it be chainsaw carved or a more artistic piece

Hello all I’m currently demoing at Bentley Woodfair and it’s been a glorious weekend ,my fellow carvers have been pushing me to try and carve new things with the chainsaws so here’s a couple of pictures of the two benches I’ve made this weekend one a Dragon and castle bench the other a dragonfly and lady bird bench which her indoors (Nicky) has decided is coming home with us lol
We’ve had a blast again this weekend but unfortunately it’s the last of my chainsaw demoing events this year ,I do still have some stock left from the season so if your passing the workshop back in Shaftesbury do call in for a gander - take care out there all x
