And all over Dorset, our super stallholders are packing up their flowers, baking the last batches, polishing the pottery, and giving everything one final check before an early start in the morning. ⏰

By 10am tomorrow, the High Street will be lined with Moroccan rugs and baskets, handmade candles and soaps, fresh coffee, ice cream, cheese, bakes, art, plants, and plenty more to wander through. 😀

Come along, take your time, and enjoy a lovely Sunday in town. 😌

We’re back this Sunday 10th August with a lovely bunch of makers, bakers, growers and creators!

🏡 Home & Garden goodies – Moroccan rugs, Tibetan shawls, handmade candles and soaps, fresh flowers, plants, even compost for the green-fingered among you.

🍊 Food & Drink – From fresh OJ and cracking coffee to cheese galore (hello, Truckle Truck and Filthy Cheese), vegan bites, Thai treats, Purbeck Ice Cream, biltong, baked goods, and cake. Always cake.

🎨 Art & Craft – Local artists, potters and creators bringing beautiful, handmade pieces – from ceramics to scrap-metal sculpture.

You'll also find Lego minifigures, solar know-how, wellbeing support and community stalls too. 😊

Shaftesbury Market is back this Sunday! 🌞

We had such a lovely time last month – sunshine, lots of lovely people and all sorts of brilliant finds – and it’s looking like more of the same this weekend. The forecast is glorious, and we’ve got a cracking line-up of traders coming along to wow you with their wares! 🤩

Whether you fancy a casual wander with a coffee in hand, something tasty for lunch, or browsing through the amazing stalls – it’s always a great day out.

You might remember Aubrey – the young lad who sold handmade soap at our markets to fund a life-changing trip to Kenya.

Well, Aubrey and his team from Appleford School have now set off on an incredible 1,000-mile cycling challenge from John O’Groats to Land’s End. That’s right – 1,000 miles! And they’re doing it not just for the adventure (though there’s plenty of that), but to raise money and awareness for SPIN: a new programme supporting neurodiverse people through inclusive, confidence-building challenges.

Every rider on the team has dyslexia, and many have additional learning differences. They’ve trained for months, braved Scottish downpours, powered through sore legs and steep hills – and they’re still pedalling with enthusiasm, humour, and heaps of grit.

We’re so proud to have Aubrey as part of our market family, and even prouder to cheer him on as he takes on this incredible journey. Want to support them? You can follow their progress and donate here:

The sun’s out, the traders are smiling and the High Street is full of brilliant stalls — handmade crafts, local produce, tasty treats, gifts and plenty more besides.

There’s a really lovely feel in town today — lots of happy faces and people enjoying a good old mooch.

We’re back with you on Sunday 11th May for our next Shaftesbury Market - but before that, we’re bringing an extra special market to town this Sunday (4th May) for Shaftesbury Feastival! 🧀

As well as some brilliant stalls to mooch around, there’ll be live cooking demos, the legendary Gold Hill Cheese Race, the Byzant Walk, maypole dancing, music all day long - and plenty of good food, friendly faces, and lots of local cheer. 🎶

It’s going to be a proper celebration of all things Shaftesbury and we’d love to see you there! 😊

And we're off!

Today was our first Market of the year, and it was such a pleasure to be back. We had a lovely day catching up with some of our favourite traders, welcoming a few new faces, and seeing folks enjoy a Sunday mooch - with the bonus of amazing live music drifting along the High Street. 🎶

Big thanks to everyone who came along - we hope you enjoyed yourselves and found some lovely bits to take home!

We’ll be back on Sunday 11th May with more brilliant stalls, great local talent, and (fingers crossed) a little more sunshine too.

Thanks to local legend Bill Bruce, we’ll be welcoming the sound of live tunes back to the High Street for our first Market of the season on Sunday! 🎉

Bill’s stepped in to help cover the rising costs of licensing so our brilliant local musicians can keep doing what they do best - filling the street with great music and good energy. He’ll also be debuting his new band The Old Romantics, alongside performances from local favourites Conner Smith and Charlie Greenwood - Vocalist. 🎶
