We have a new shop, The Green Man Book Seller who has taken over where Theadoras used to be. Dave the owner sells a fantastic range of pre loved books.
The Potting Shed Garden Centre is looking lovely as Spring gets going with lots of plants for your garden,as well as gifts and gardening items inside. Don’t forget the walled garden behind the shop as well.
The Ugly Duckling is serving up their usual tasty food, now the weather is improving you can sit outside and feel the warmth of the sun.
The Cygnet Gallery is full of beautiful objects and paintings all made by local artists. Pick up something truly unique for yourself or as a present.

Day three of the Shaftesbury Fringe. Today is the last day of this year's ever popular festival. Swans Yard and The Potting Shed Garden Shop Shaftesbury will again play host to a variety of performers including music and poetry. For full details go to https://www.shaftesburyfringe.co.uk/

Very sorry to hear the sad news

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of our photographer, Paul Phillips, on Thursday, February 10.

Paul loved the Cygnet and did a lot of good things for us ~ not least organising the Young Artists' Competition as well as instigating our Cygnet Artists' Catalogue. He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with Cynthia and their sons, Laurence, Douglas and Michael.

Here are just a few snippets from the numerous encomiums we received....
