The wait is finally over… Fruit Stop will be back open this Monday! 🍓🍎🍇🥕

Firstly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every single one of you for your patience, support, kind messages and loyalty over the last week. The response has been absolutely overwhelming, and we can’t thank you enough.

We’d also like to thank all of the traders who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get the market ready to reopen safely. An enormous amount of work has gone into the deep clean, treatment and preparation of the building, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back.

Now let’s get back to what we do best… bringing you the freshest, highest-quality fruit and veg at unbeatable prices! 🍉🍒🍍🥦

We’ve seen a lot of negative comments over the last few days, and while we completely understand people’s concerns, we’d just like to put things into perspective.

Pests are unfortunately something that can affect businesses anywhere – not just the Moor Market, but across Sheffield and the UK. The important thing is that Sheffield City Council acted immediately, and together with the market traders have been working tirelessly to make sure the issue is dealt with quickly, thoroughly and properly.

Because this has received so much publicity, it’s easy to think the situation is far worse than it actually is. Please remember that one stall does not represent the 60+ hardworking traders who take enormous pride in keeping their businesses clean, safe and to the highest standards every single day.

Every trader has been affected by this closure through no fault of their own, but everyone has pulled together to get the market ready to reopen as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support not only Fruit Stop but all of the independent businesses at the Moor Market. Your kind words, patience and support mean more than you know, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back very soon. ❤️

Good evening to all our valued customers,

Just a quick update regarding the Moor Market.

Since Friday’s closure, we’ve been at Fruit Stop every day maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and we’re pleased to confirm our shop remains free from any pests and was given a clean bill of health from the start 🧼

Market Management has advised that the market will remain closed on Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July while deep cleaning and sanitisation continue. We expect another update within the next 48 hours.

Thank you all for your continued support, kind messages and patience. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon.

Mainly weekend staff potentially more hours given, ideal for school leavers.
Friday - 8:30am - 5pm
Saturday - 8:30am - 5pm

We are looking for another member to join our team at Connor’s fruit corner.
The job role includes a lot of heavy lifting & lugging so must be strong & serving customers in a fast pace environment.

To be successful in this role you must have:
•good numeracy skills (no calculators used)
•sales experience preferred but will be trained
•good work ethic
•reliable & trustworthy
•great customer service skills
•able to work in a team
•good banter 😝
