Congratulations to Peter and the team at Wagon and Horses for winning the pots and planters category in this year's Ecclesfield Parish Council's garden competition. Peter always works so hard to make it look lovely, and often grows most of the plants from seed!

Hi All

Well, it's taken around a year of blood, sweat and tears, start to finish, to get this project done, but we finally have the maps for the final three permanent orienteering routes!

All of these routes start from the carpark for Westwood Country Park, which I didn't even realise was a thing. They are obviously much more rural than the Chapeltown Park routes, and the view from the top of the hill is amazing. There are three routes - a short, a medium and a long. Where the short route in the park is classed as accessible, these ones do involve more rugged terrain. The shortest route does run entirely on paths, but these are steep / muddy in places, so probably only suitable for an all-terrain buggy / wheelchair, unless you want to get stuck :-)

As always, we are keen to make them more inclusive by offering a printed version. That has just been ordered today, so should be available from the usual places in the next couple of weeks.
