SHEFFIELD LOCAL ELECTION RESULTS ARE IN – HERE’S HOW THE CITY VOTED
The political map of Sheffield has seen a major shake-up following the local elections, with Labour suffering significant losses across the city as Reform UK, the Green Party and Liberal Democrats all made gains in key wards.
Reform UK made major breakthroughs in areas including Beighton, Birley, East Ecclesfield, Mosborough, Park & Arbourthorne, Richmond, Shiregreen & Brightside, Southey, Stocksbridge & Upper Don, and Woodhouse, while the Green Party strengthened their position in wards including City, Ecclesall, Graves Park, Hillsborough, Manor Castle and Walkley. The Liberal Democrats also picked up important wins in Beauchief & Greenhill, Dore & Totley, Fulwood, Stannington and West Ecclesfield.
It was a bruising night for Labour, with only a limited number of holds, showing a clear shift in voter mood across Sheffield.
CORRECTION: Thanks to those who spotted it — Broomhill & Sharrow Vale was mistakenly labelled as a gain in our graphic when it should have been shown as a Green hold. The overall election picture remains the same, but we appreciate the correction and everyone keeping us accurate.
