BIG PIT HAULING! 👌🎣

After my first successful trip to the Big Pit, I returned for another session, and this one was absolutely mental!

I ended up landing 8 out of 9 runs, including some incredible fish!

The biggest was a fish known as "The Koi" at a healthy 36lb12oz, followed by another stunning fish at 33lb, which has caused a bit of confusion after it also being mistaken for The Koi.

The rest of the haul included fish of 26lb 12oz, 25lb, 24lb12oz and 19lb, along with a few smaller doubles. What a session! *

®* The winning approach:

A big particle mix of tiger nuts, h**p, red maize, and crushed and whole peanuts. And innovate baits finest 18mm squid2T bottom baits tipped off with their new nutters popups fished snowman style.

The size 4 curve shanks from IBhooks held strong, alongside the ever-reliable Korda end tackle.

All the hard work and preparation has really paid off, with a bucket of particle and mixed-over rolls going in every week for the last month. The results speak for themselves!💪

This boy never disappoints when it comes to time on Ted Whiteman’s waters! 🎣

Kevin had a very successful session, with fish up to Gandalf at a very healthy 34lb 11oz, along with various other fish including the 25lb+ Pig Common, another mirror at 26lb+, and plenty of other backup low 20s, including an 8lb tench.

Kev used various particles throughout his session, with Aniseed Pigeon Conditioner, Maple Peas, Red Carpet Mix and the H**p & Maize Mix being just some of what was used to keep the bites coming consistently.

And yes I had to run him an emergency 8kilo top up down half way through his session!! 😁

Well done Kev 💪🎣.

Just the one mid double from my recent session on the big pit. A mix of nut mix, maple peas and flaked maize. This fish came on a tiger nut in the middle of the spot. Also lost a slightly better fish in the early hours of the morning on the same rod
