Happy weekend, everyone.

Two of my favourite things right now. A coffee at 4 Thurlestone, watching the world go by. And Teddy, absolutely loving saying hello to every doggy that walks past.

Chatting to passersby, catching up with friends, Teddy making new mates left, right and centre.

Simple, lovely, exactly how a weekend should start.

Jacqui guided us through each step with clear explanations and plenty of encouragement, making it easy to turn an old bauble into something unique. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, with everyone chatting, experimenting, and enjoying the process."

Sarah went on to say the venue, Eggham on Toast in Staines, made the whole evening feel like a proper festive treat, amazing food, a great selection of drinks, and exactly the atmosphere you want in December.

5 reasons I use Frenchic paint for every workshop.

No primer needed. Straight onto the piece, saves you a whole step most people don't realise you can skip.

Built-in sealant. One less product to buy, one less thing to get wrong.

The colour range is genuinely stunning. Chalky matte, hard-wearing finishes, something for every style.

It's quick. "It takes forever" is one of the biggest myths in furniture painting and honestly, Frenchic is a big part of why that's just not true.

It works on almost anything. Furniture, trays, lampshades, shoes. If it's got a surface, Frenchic can probably transform it.

Me, having a full moment in front of this incredible Frida Kahlo mural near Blackfriars station.

I've walked past that spot more times than I can count, and today it stopped me in my tracks. There's something about being face to face with that much colour and that much fearlessness that just does something to you.

From there I went straight on to the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Tate Modern and honestly, the artworks (plus the pieces other artists have created in response to her over the years) are stunning. I came out of there absolutely buzzing with ideas.

So much so, I'm now planning a series of Frida-inspired upcycling workshops. I'm keeping the details under wraps for now, you'll just have to trust me on this one but here's what I can tell you: they'll be starting at the end of October, and then continuing on into the New Year.

"I can never make the class dates work with my week."

I hear this a lot and it's genuinely one of the easiest things to sort out.

Fixed class dates work brilliantly for some people, but life doesn't always cooperate with a set timetable, especially with everything else going on in September. That's exactly why I offer 1-to-1 masterclasses alongside them.

These can be arranged flexibly around you, certain weekday mornings, whatever actually fits, rather than trying to force your week around mine. You can even split it over two or three sessions if you'd rather learn the painting one day and the decoupage another, instead of committing to a full day in one go.

If timing's been the only thing holding you back, that's easily sorted. Get in touch and we'll find something that works for you.
