⚠️ We need to talk about fake masks.
Counterfeit 3M 9332+ Aura FFP3 masks are STILL being sold across the UK, mostly on eBay and some sellers on Amazon.
We've been in the respiratory protection business for years, and honestly? The fakes are getting harder to spot. The boxes look legit. The packaging seems right. But the protection? Not there.
The frustrating part? 3M don't publish a public guide on how to identify counterfeits.
So we made one ourselves.
We've photographed real vs fake examples and documented everything:
📦 Box labels – what the correct format actually looks like
🔒 Seal patterns – the differences are subtle but clear
🖨️ Printing on the mask – fakes get this wrong
🔢 Lot numbers – we've listed 5 confirmed counterfeit batches
Those lot numbers are:
