Whether Father's Day means a family lunch, going for a nice walk, or simply another Sunday for you... it's the third Sunday of the month, which can only mean one thing – it's market day in Sherborne! 🛍️💛🎉

We'd love to see you for a browse, a bite to eat, and a chance to support some brilliant local traders. 😊

We're delighted to be welcoming Sherborne Library of Things to the market this month! 💛

If you've not come across the idea before, a Library of Things works a bit like a traditional library – except instead of borrowing books, you can borrow useful household items, tools and equipment. 😀

It's a brilliant community project that helps people save money, reduce waste and share resources locally.

The team will be at the market on Sunday 21st June, and they'd love to tell you more about what they're planning. They're also looking for donations of items and a few volunteers who can spare a couple of hours on a Saturday morning.

One of our favourite things about the market is seeing how many people make it part of their month 💛

Some come back for their regular foodie favourites. Some love seeing what new things our artists, makers and jewellers have brought along. Some just enjoy an excuse for a wander round Sherborne when the town is full of people and feels a little different to usual.

And while lots of our traders return each month, there’s always a different mix too – new traders, seasonal stalls and one-off visits alongside the familiar faces people know and love.

We’ve got visitors discovering Sherborne for the first time, locals who proudly mark market day in their calendars, and traders who know some of their customers by name now. That’s pretty amazing😊

It’s been such a wonderful start to the market year...

We’ve loved welcoming back all the fabulous traders you know and love – along with lots of lovely new ones for you to get acquainted with too!

And we have it on very good authority that you’re keeping them all nice and busy in Sherborne on the third Sundays of the month… which, as luck would have it, is this Sunday. 😉

So if you fancy a wander round town, some delicious food, and a browse of brilliant local small businesses, you know where we’ll be.

We had the best time recently trying something a little different with one of our lovely traders, Maree from Mooniglass. 🐟✨

From shaping the glass into teeny tiny fishes, to the (very patient!) wait while the kiln worked its magic, and then bringing it all together with a bit of expert help (thank you Mr T!) – it was such a fabulous experience.

And the final piece… now hanging in the garden… we LOVE it. 💛

You’ll find Maree on Cheap Street on market days, selling her beautiful glasswork – and if you’re ever tempted to have a go yourself, she also runs workshops separately (which we can highly recommend!).

It's market day this Sunday! 🛍️

Our traders are getting ready to fill Sherborne with all sorts of wonderful things again – and it’s lovely to hear how excited they are to be back.

Some familiar faces will be returning with new designs, new products and even new branding, while some first-time traders will be joining us too – from up-cycled sail bags and freshly baked cakes to chocolate treats (with Easter goodies already making an appearance!). 🐣

Come on down and catch up with your favourite traders – and maybe discover a few new ones while you’re at it. 😀

Good news market lovers! You won’t have to wait quite as long as usual for our Spring comeback…

April felt like far too long a gap, so this year we’re coming back a whole month earlier! 🎉

That means our brilliant traders will be spilling back into Sherborne on Sunday 15th March – which is only a little over two months away and just happens to be Mother’s Day. 💐

And much like the big day itself… the final market of the year is almost upon us! 🎄✨
There’s so much to look forward to on Sunday – delicious food and drink, last-minute gifts, treats for yourself (you deserve it!), and best of all… that lovely Christmassy feeling. 😊

Sherborne certainly looks the part, and the stalls will be full of festive touches – and of course, all the wonderful people who make market day what it is. 💛
