Turns out you can fit quite a lot into one Sunday!
Sunshine. Brilliant traders. A folk band. More dogs than we could reasonably count. A convoy of Morris Minors. Sweet things, savoury things, things sizzling on grills, things being poured into cups… and approximately a 1000 reasons to forget you got up far too early.

really is a rather lovely little world of its own.

HUGE thanks to everyone who traded, played, cooked, poured, browsed, chatted, brought a pooch, admired a classic car or simply wandered through and made a day of it. AND not forgetting our awesome Market Team!

All that, and somehow it was over in the blink of an eye. If you captured some lovely moments, do give us a tag!

One of the lovely things about market day is that everyone seems to do it a little differently. 😊

Some of you come every month to stock up with your favourite traders (we know they love seeing their regulars!), some come to see what’s new, some for something delicious to eat… and plenty of you just enjoy a good wander around Sherborne and being amongst it all.

However you do market day, we’re very grateful that so many of you keep coming back and supporting all the brilliant small businesses who join us. 💛

And happily, you get to do it all again this Sunday!

We know lots of you have the third Sunday firmly marked in your calendars (which we LOVE).

If that’s you, excellent work. If not, you know what to do. 😉

Your reward? Hundreds of stalls brimming with all sorts of good things, in our beautiful town – full of people wandering, chatting, eating, shopping and generally enjoying being right in the middle of it all.

As if the market wasn’t enough to tempt you into Sherborne on a lovely Sunday… you can make a whole day of it! ☀️

Start with Yoga in Paddock Gardens with Michela from 9am–10.30am, then wander into town for the market from 10am–3pm.

And from 2pm, head over to the Bandstand in Pageant Gardens where Tony Lowe will be bringing a bit of swing to your Sunday afternoon. 🎶 Expect classics from the golden years, a few sing-alongs and quite possibly the temptation to have a little dance!

How exciting! 🎉

Sherborne has officially been named Dorset Town of Culture 2027 – and we couldn't be happier for our wonderful town. 💛

The independent shops, the talented makers, artists and food producers, the beautiful streets, the history, the festivals, and the sense of community... it all comes together to create something rather splendid.

We're incredibly proud that Sherborne Market gets to be a small part of that story.

Speaking of which... the next one is just around the corner! 😀

Another reason to join us on Sunday! 💛

As part of his Summer Swing Tour, the wonderful Tony Lowe will be at the bandstand in Pageant Gardens, entertaining the masses with his 'Velvet Voice' vocals. 🎶

Throw in your favourite friendly traders (and some amazing new ones!), delicious food, beautiful handmade products, and the usual busy, cheerful market atmosphere, and you've got yourself a pretty fabulous day out. 😊

We've had a rather lovely feature in the latest issue of The Spark Magazine! 💛

The team got in touch to say they'd like to feature Sherborne Market, and we're so pleased they did. They've used some fabulous photos that really capture the atmosphere of market day and the brilliant mix of traders who make it what it is.

It's especially nice because this is an editorial feature rather than a paid advertisement, so it's been written with genuine enthusiasm for the market and everything our traders bring to Sherborne.

We'd love to see you for a browse, a bite to eat, and a chance to support some brilliant local traders. 😊

We're delighted to be welcoming Sherborne Library of Things to the market this month! 💛

If you've not come across the idea before, a Library of Things works a bit like a traditional library – except instead of borrowing books, you can borrow useful household items, tools and equipment. 😀

It's a brilliant community project that helps people save money, reduce waste and share resources locally.

The team will be at the market on Sunday 21st June, and they'd love to tell you more about what they're planning. They're also looking for donations of items and a few volunteers who can spare a couple of hours on a Saturday morning.

One of our favourite things about the market is seeing how many people make it part of their month 💛

Some come back for their regular foodie favourites. Some love seeing what new things our artists, makers and jewellers have brought along. Some just enjoy an excuse for a wander round Sherborne when the town is full of people and feels a little different to usual.

And while lots of our traders return each month, there’s always a different mix too – new traders, seasonal stalls and one-off visits alongside the familiar faces people know and love.

We’ve got visitors discovering Sherborne for the first time, locals who proudly mark market day in their calendars, and traders who know some of their customers by name now. That’s pretty amazing😊
