Delicious homemade preserves, made in small batches with home grown and locally sourced ingredients for fantasticly tasty chutneys and jams.

We also sell shooting and country goods. I have been making chutney, jams and flavoured gins for years, one year when there was a glut of everything I started to offer some for sale to friends and family, since then I have grown more to make more to keep up with demand!

Right… I may have made a slight error. 😂

I appear to have ordered rather a lot of crisps and now I have a small mountain of them that need eating before their best-before dates! 🙈

So, rather than spend the next few weeks eating crisps for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I’ve made up some mixed boxes with a good selection of all the flavours, including the new Venison & Caper flavour.

The boxes contain mixed best-before dates, with some in September and some in October. They're best before, not use by — crisps aren't going to suddenly become dangerous on 1st November! 😂

Whilst looking through some photos for an upcoming magazine feature, I found these that I'd completely forgotten to post! 😂

I was trying to take a nice photo of the guinea fowl keets 🐥 when the mum decided I was too close and attacked me 🙈

I hadn't even realised I'd captured her in action until later that day! 🤣

I think this will always be my favourite picture 🤣

A little Glorious 12th throwback 🐦🤎

Our little girl, aged 3, with the first ever grouse she'd seen. She studied it, plucked it and then, as it was a gift to us, she ate it too! 😂

Now 19, she's just as passionate about our wildlife, the countryside and conservation 🤎

Where did those years go?! 🥹

A proper pork pie deserves proper piccalilli 🥒🧅💛

Today's batch has now cooled, been labelled and stored away to mature.

I grow most of the vegetables that go into my piccalilli here in the garden before making it in small batches in my kitchen.

It's definitely worth the wait. ☺

It pairs perfectly with a delicious pork pie or thick-cut butcher's ham. How do you eat yours? 🥧🧀🥪

A first for me today!

A Hummingbird Hawk Moth 🐛

It moved so quickly from flower to flower, sticking its long tongue into each flower 🌸 the zoomed up picture shows its tongue rolled up 💗😍

It's made my day 😊

Another bumper crop of sloes this year 🍇

They'll soon be finding their way into one of my best-selling and personal favourite preserves...

I may just have a few other plans for them too 😉🍷

A little update on our guinea fowl family... 🤍

A few weeks ago one of our free-ranging guinea hens hatched nine chicks out in the wild.

🦊 One night they had a fox attack but thankfully Mum managed to get away with six chicks and just a few feathers missing 🙏🏻

The chicks are growing quickly now and getting more adventurous, although they're never far from Mum or the rest of the very protective flock 😊

Our older guinea fowl roost in the big oak tree every night, hopefully these six will be joining them before too long... and I can worry a little less! 🌳
