What a journey it has been bringing The Old Curio Durham to life.

From the very beginning, our mission has been to breathe new life into a historic building while respecting its character, heritage and story. Weโ€™ve worked incredibly hard to evolve with the times, adapt to the challenges of the current climate, and create a space that could not only survive, but thrive.

The response from our community has been truly overwhelming. Seeing people walk through our doors, embrace what weโ€™re doing, share their memories, and support this little piece of history has meant everything to us.

Weโ€™re so proud of the team weโ€™ve built too, especially the amazing young people who bring energy, creativity and passion to The Old Curio every day. Investing in the next generation and creating opportunities for them is something we care deeply about.

And thereโ€™s so much more to comeโ€ฆ including our exciting upcoming appearance with Antiques Road Trip, which feels like such a special moment for us and for this beautiful building.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, supported, shared and believed in what weโ€™re creating. The Old Curio is more than a place, itโ€™s a community, and weโ€™re so grateful to be part of it. โค๏ธ

Weโ€™re absolutely delighted to see The Carthouse Cafรฉ featured again.

Bringing this beautiful old building back to life has been such a special journey. We wanted to create a warm, welcoming place where people can slow down, enjoy something delicious, browse our antiques and simply spend time together.

A huge thank you to everyone who has visited, supported us and helped make The Carthouse Cafรฉ what it is. We look forward to welcoming many more of you through the doors.
