Fabulous visit to Colne Valley museum in Golcar .
So interesting . Everything to learn about weaving and clog making . Really fabulous place . We had coffee and home made cake . Lots of really knowledgeable volunteers who explain everything in great detail . really worth a visit .

This is what I love about France . Here we are in Provence in a village called Seillans where there are some beautiful streets and Ateliers d,Art and quaint little cafes and cute cats to have a little conversation with ! My creative juices were in an abundance in this fabulous stop off ! Seillans is known as one of the most beautiful villages in France . It’s very quiet at this time of year , but it made it all the more beautiful . Time could be taken to wander the cobbled streets . Very steep in places but a must to explore . I managed to pick a few of natures goodies in the shape of leaves and cedar pine cones and pods ! Unsure what some of them are but I will find some creative use for them

We have been in France for the last couple of weeks up on the mountains near the border of Italy and we came across the fortified village of Mont Dauphin . It was built by Vauban between 1693 and 1704 to protect France against invasions from Italy . Whilst we were there my other half bought me this absolutely stunning bag ( it had my name on it ). There were so many beautiful objects . I wanted them all ! It was difficult to choose , but this one spoke to me . The artisan was . Beautiful talented designer

Calling all fellow textile lovers this is the place to visit . Even if you are not it’s an incredible place !
It is steeped in history back to Mary Queen of Scot’s . You can even see the original tapestry that she made whilst she was kept captive for 19 years .
It has different kinds of modern textile art interspersed amongst the rooms . An incredible place ! Walking in the grounds is like stepping back in time .
