Shipston Angling Club present a 3 day festival at the Sports Club Usually the third week in July.

Shipston Angling Club present "Fish 'n' Frolics", an outdoor festival supported by 3 days of events at Shipston Sports Clubs including live bands, BBQ, beer festival, stalls, country games, displays and lots more! We are also encouraging young anglers by providing free coaching for those who who are interested.

First round of the Annual FISH'n'FROLICS TROPHY.
It fished hard on all venues with big weights hard to come by as expected the rivers were either low or no flow and the fish were sluggish at Aston Magna.
Still all to fish for as it's a different venue each day.
Results below and it was close to each venue.

FISH 'n' FROLICS starts this Friday with the annual 3 Day Fishing contests on the river Stour around Shipston, the Avon at Stratford Seven meadows and the pool at Aston Magna..

Good luck to All the anglers taking part ,there will be breakfast at the Sports club with Nice Bites , we will be running raffles daily so any raffle prizes would be most welcome🐟🐟

Sunday at Aston Magna and it was the first junior tuition day this year and everyone caught fish, it was great to see such enthusiasm and focus on fishing on what turned out to be a great day for catching bream, carp and silvers.
Thanks to the team Baz Barnes , Malcolm Barnes, Peter Morgan and Jack Tandy plus all the parents who stayed and helped. We also would like to thank the Stour Valley Lions Club who support the junior anglers and we were extremely fortunate to receive an award last Thursday to help further our plan to introduce more juniors and new anglers into the sport.
