Newtown’s Aaron Colley headed out for a session on one of the lakes in Wales, taking along the Anglo Baits Meaty M’s 14mm coateds
It’s clear the Meaty M’s aren’t just proving popular with the barbel and chub — they seem to have caught the attention of a lake residents too! 🐈‍⬛️
Another fantastic session from Aaron, and as always, great angling mate. It’s brilliant to see the Anglo Baits range producing such a diverse variety of fish across different venues and styles of fishing.

Jose — A Natural on the Barbel!

Shrewsbury’s Jose Gomes decided to see what all the fuss was about with this fishing malarkey — and it didn’t take him long to get amongst them!
After around 40 minutes of wondering whether there were actually any fish in the area, Jose soon had his answer, going on to land three quality barbel. The best was just shy of the magical 10lb mark, backed up by an 8lb 13oz and a 6lb 5oz.
All three fish fell to Anglo Baits Cheesy Chorizo Garlics, fished over a cage feeder packed with a mixture of Anglo Baits flavoured micros and 8mm pellets.
A fantastic introduction to the world of barbel fishing, Jose — three quality fish on your first proper go says it all.
Well done, mate — hopefully the first of many!

🎣 A Great Introduction to Angling for Danny & Jack!
Cannock’s Danny Naylor and son Jack headed out for a day on the bank with brother/uncle Chris Naylor for their first fishing trip together — and it’s safe to say they had a fantastic introduction to the angling world!
The Anglo Baits Cheesy Chorizo Garlics, combined with the flavoured micros in a black-top feeder and presented to some likely-looking areas, certainly did the job.
The lads enjoyed an excellent day, landing 4 barbel and 10+ chub between them. They finished the session by trotting a float, adding a great mixed bag of chub, bleak and silvers to round off the day.
It looks like chris has corrupted a couple more into the world of angling! 😎🎣

Shrewsburys Ralph Lawrence – Trading the Golf Clubs for a Real Sport!
Ralph has finally put the golf clubs down and turned his attention to fishing.
An afternoon session resulted in Ralph landing a quality first barbel, caught using double Cheesy Chorizo Garlics, with Anglo Baits 8mm pellets and the feeder plugged with Cheesy Chorizo paste.
A great start mate – top angling and hopefully the first of many more to come! 🍀

Newtown’s Aaron Colley has bounced back in style, putting together an exceptional session on the bank with an impressive 12 barbel and 12 chub.
The barbel haul included:
6 × 7½lb
2 × 8lb
1 × 9lb
1 × 10lb 3oz
1 × 11lb 2oz
1 × 12lb 1oz
The chub were equally impressive, with one weighing 5lb and the remainder all over 3lb.
Aaron was using paste-wrapped 14mm Meaty M’s, with a fish also falling to the coated Cheesy Chorizo Garlics.
An outstanding session, especially after a tough day at the competition. Top angling as always fella — well deserved ! 🍀

Shrewsbury's James Tudor has made the most of a couple of short after-work sessions, putting the extra-coated Cheesy Chorizo Garlics test hookbaits through their paces. Fished with small PVA parcels attached to the hook, the approach produced an impressive 6 barbel and 6 chub across the two sessions.
James is never far away from the fish, and his consistency on the bank speaks for itself. A top-class angler who always seems to get the results.

Shrewsbury’s Matt Paddock opened his barbel account for the season with this quality fish.
Fishing a deeper pocket on the far margin, Matt presented a banded 8mm Cheesy Chorizo Garlic pellet over a maggot feeder, with Meaty M micros used as loose feed. The approach produced this excellent barbel and his first of the season. Plenty more to come.

Oswestry's Shane Wiliams was out exploring a new stretch of river, and once again proved he's never far away from the barbel. It turned into a busy and rewarding session, with an impressive mixed net of barbel and chub, although a few fish managed to find the snags along the way.
Fishing a double-banded Cheesy Chorizo Garlic hookbait alongside a small feeder packed with pellets and groundbait, Shane targeted the far-bank snags and gullies to great effect, banking some exceptionally well-conditioned fish throughout the day.
A fantastic session and another great display of consistent angling. Well done, Shane – top angling as always, mate! 🍀
