Feeling woolly woolly wonderful!

Since September, I have been attending Shrewsbury College doing a dressmaking class. This dress has tested my abilities, but I love it. Of course, it's a simple pattern, but I tried French seams for the first time and also edited the raglan sleeves. Why oh why would I do that to myself?

Are you a woolly person? Come along to Yarnies at the Flaxmill at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings on May 2, 2026.

Pattern is the Ripple Dress by Sew Different.

Fabric is a sampling of British wool milled at Abraham Moon in Leeds. The warp is the same throughout but the weft changes every 20cm or so and the fabric is used as a sample of colours.

We need your help, yarnies. We only have 1/3 of the vendors we need to make Yarnies at the Flaxmill work. Please get in touch and help us decide how we proceed with either going to a one-day show or cancelling all together.

Happy New Year yarnies.

I am not quite keeping my s**t together: since Yuletide Yarnies, I have been constantly ill. This is very frustrating as I haven't felt like doing much, but I have been knitting and managed to get to the Shrewsbury Spinners Weavers and Dyers social day yesterday.

Chantelle and I are looking forward to seeing you for Yarnies at the Flaxmill May 2-3, 2026.

In the meantime, I wish you many lovely days of crafting, hugs, and sufficient pickles.

We are desperately looking for a hot food vendor for Yuletide Yarnies on Sat, please get back in touch if you know anyone. Our vendor has pulled out due to a family emergency.

We have someone doing coffee, but we need hot food with coeliac, vegan, etc options.
