Big Little Things - Wedding Florist | Funeral Flowers | Floristry Workshops
- Shropshire and beyond We like to be a bit different and are more of an unconventional flower shop!

In our shop you will find a carefully chosen collection of gifts, accessories, decorative homeware, cards, personalised presents and both fresh and artificial flowers. We have fresh flowers in the shop from Thursday which we make into ready made small posies and our popular jam jars. We only make up a certain amount each week so we strongly advise you to order to avoid disappointment. We do not ho

ld large volumes of flowers because we like to order little and often to ensure the freshness and quality of the flowers are at their best for our customers. We can only make up larger bouquets, specific arrangements or large quantities of jam jars/ posies if ordered in advance either by ordering in the shop the previous week or by email to [email protected].

1. Longer stems are more expensive.
Flowers with long, straight stems take longer to grow, require more space, and are generally considered a premium grade by growers and wholesalers.

2. Longer stems usually have larger flower heads.
The extra growing time often results in bigger, more impressive blooms, which is why tall arrangements can have such impact.

3. Height adds cost more quickly than width.
Creating tall designs often requires premium flowers, specialist support mechanics, and larger quantities of foliage to maintain the correct proportions.

4. Flowers are priced by stem, not by arrangement. Two arrangements of the same size can vary significantly in cost depending on the flower varieties used.

5. Some flowers continue to open after they’re arranged.
Peonies, roses and many seasonal flowers can look quite different on the wedding day compared to when they are first designed.

Did you know about this already, or has any of the above surprised you?

Want to know the easiest way to make your ceremony look twice as luxurious?

Focus your flowers where they’ll have the biggest impact. For this wedding, that meant statement urn displays and meadow aisle markers that transformed the entire ceremony setting.

One thing we always tell couples: flowers don’t just decorate a space, they create the atmosphere.

1. Your floral budget goes further when you’re flexible.
Being open to seasonal flowers and a colour palette rather than specific blooms can create a much more luxurious look without increasing your spend.

2. Flowers don’t just decorate a space, they create the atmosphere.
A few impactful installations in the right places will often transform a venue far more than lots of smaller arrangements spread throughout.

3. Book your florist earlier than you think.
The best florists can book up 12–18 months in advance, and early planning gives you more choice, less stress, and time to create something truly personal.

Guests remember the wow moments. A breathtaking fresh flower arch creates emotion and awe far more than scattered candles or table knickknacks.

If you’re choosing where to invest your décor budget, don’t underestimate the power of one unforgettable fresh floral installation. It’s beauty, fragrance, function, and emotion all in one.

Not all wedding flowers make people stop scrolling... but blue hydrangeas do.

They’re the perfect “something blue” moment.

A reminder that sometimes the most unforgettable details are found in nature’s simplest masterpieces.
Would you choose blue hydrangeas for your wedding day?

When the bride’s mum is a florist and says:

“I’m so, so chuffed! The flowers were absolutely stunning. You are absolute superstars.”

That’s about the highest praise we could ever receive.
