I made these in mind of hanging in a nursery (babies on the brain) but I was reminded at Drawn that other things exist 🙈 They are also perfect for wedding anniversaries, birthdays, any old occasion really!

What a fabulous day!
It was great to come back to Drawn after a lil break away and it was wonderful as always

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who popped by, was lovely to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones too!

I’m in full recovery mode now 😅
Over the next few days I’ll put some posts together of what I have available and more info about pet portraits ❤️

In the meantime, it’s lots of cuddles with my lil pal and a nice afternoon in the sun is on the cards

🍏POPPY🍏

I absolutely loved working on this comission for a very special person.
The gorgeous Poppy was such a lovely sweet girl and it was a joy to try and capture her nature in this embroidery.

I really believe the reference photo can make or break an embroidery; the more detailed and higher the quality the photo, the more successful the embroidery will be.

I am open to more pet portraits, as long as there isn’t a deadline 😅 Message me if you’re interested!

🐾MORTY🐾

Since having my baby in September I was on a bit of an embroidery hiatus and was determined not to take on too much in the run up to Christmas .. but then I was asked to do an embroidery of Morty and how could I say no?!

I loved doing this embroidery and without sounding too soppy, it helped me find a balance between the old me and the new me.

🐾TEDDY🐾

It’s only taken me about 9 months but Teddy is finally complete!

After suffering with awful morning sickness and my will to embroider hitting an all time low, I’m really pleased I’ve ‘had’ to finish this one as it gave me a kick up the bum I truly needed.

Once I go on maternity leave from my day job I’m hoping to give my work space a proper tidy and sort out some things to sell, either on here or Etsy.. anyone still use Etsy?!

💐FLORAL VASE SERIES💐

THE PROCESS

I’ve been working on some passion projects over the summer after moving in to a new home and deciding to make myself some artwork for a change.

My living room is far from finished but of course I’m all ready planning what to put on the walls. I really want an eclectic and organic feel and I’ve been collecting vintage needlework art for a while and decided I should probably have some of my own work thrown in there.

I’ve always been drawn to florals and it’s a huge inspiration to my work and I love the over the top chinoiserie style so florals in ornate blue and white vases seemed a no brainer. I’ve really enjoyed designing and stitching these, definitely brought back some of my stitching mojo.

I’ve had a limited amount of A4 prints made up which I will be bringing to with me. If you can’t make it to Drawn at all I’ll be posting what I have left afterwards at some point.

Now I’ve rambled on too much, hope everyone has a lovely, peaceful and recharging Sunday ♥️
