Little known fact.

Back in my art student days I played fool for a junglist raggamuffin combo called Boo Khaki.

My schtick was dressing up as Bill Oddie (he's a foot taller than me but somehow I pulled it off), a stuffed macaw on one shoulder and a jackdaw on the other shoulder.

Quick Draw Jack Macaw was my 'centrepiece', a Bonzo Dog-inspired s**t squawking opus, fifteen minutes of me windmilling centre stage impersonating the terminal stand-off between the stuffed birds on my shoulders, my face in the middle of this stand-off splattered by bird muck thanks to a fiendish contraption manipulated by yours truly furiously pumping handheld squeezies rigged to tubes hidden under my Bill Oddie beard.

There's a female singer in New York art punkers Gustaf who fulfills a similar obligation for her band, minus the beard natch, but I have neither the inclination or the proof to sue for plagiarism. Besides, I only managed to perform Quick Draw Jack Macaw the one time with Boo Khaki - I couldn't get the fake bird poo out of the rented beard, and the costume shop threatened to sue, a financial threat that scuppered the band's lofty ambitions, especially since pop mogul Louis Walsh had shown a keen interest in Boo Khaki, even if he did keep spelling the band's name wrong on his bombardment of faxes.

All these memories came back to me in a fever dream this morning, and so at 4am local time, I put in an order for a Boo Khaki cake to celebrate this very special LAST DAY in 14 Wyle Cop.
