Bilbo's big adventure on Saturday.

It was my first time to Taunton, the Humans wanted to go to Dunelm and I said OK, but if we can go to Pets at Home too! Then a walk in to town to get Dad's specs, he took ages so had a lie down and then once 'they' had grabbed a Costa to go, we went home... as you can see, my social battery was completely drained. So glad it rained in Sunday, 'they' did not want to go out so I could stay home!
It seems now they know I actually enjoyed it, we might be going out every weekend. Just as long as they keep the treats coming, I'll be happy! 🐕 🐾

My year with the ones I love, trips with , .music to Canterbury, London and Bristol. House moving in Plymouth, Bristol and Dunster and perfect days out with my bestie of 30 years this New Year's Eve! 2023 has been interesting at times, if a little stressful, but it has ended well.
Here's to 2024 and my plan to draw and go out more with the ones I love!

I feel that my addiction/collection needs a bit of explaining. Many are very simple ones that do not cost a lot. I use these for my art projects and for taking to work. If I lose one it is not a problem. Each has a different colour of ink for either working on art or just making note taking more fun.
Others have more value /meaning.
My green Sheaffer got me through school in the 80's.
The two old Parkers are my father's (middle one - a Parker 51, the Queen used to write with these) and grandfather's and then there is a modern Parker that I had for my 50th Birthday from my sister.
My gorgeous Mont Blanc was a present from my hubby when we lived in Vienna.
The Lamy's are always fun to write with and the black one is perfect for calligraphy work.
The Pilot Fude nib is fun for sketching and I love that people think I have damaged the nib, when I say I bought it like that they are somewhat surprised!
Finally, today's arrival, a Pilot Parallel Pen with a nib that is 6mm wide, so excited to get some ink in this beauty!

Spent a couple of amazing days with .music last week in London, which is my go to place for inspiration. I am like a kid in a toy shop with every street we walk down.

was crazy with this view of 16th C, 19th C and 21st C all on one corner!
So good to get the drawing board out, and 7 hours later I have this to show for it. Loving the freedom that a loose drawing gives, the question is, where to next? I have so many on my 'to draw' list.

What a fantastic coronation day. Had to dig out the photos of when I met The King in 2019 in Simonsbath, Exmoor. I will never forget the conversation I had with His Majesty. We discussed gardening and ferns! A truly amazing moment in my life and was the bodyguard in black and .music was next to him but just out of shot.

A wonderful Sunday full of art, a full table of art supplies, inks, nibs, paints and Arches watercolour paper. .2004 and I had fun today. I loved doing small buildings, I love how quickly you can finish them. I used Carbon ink, nikko G nib, map nib and watercolour paint.
Will's Thestral is created with a Sailor Fude de Mannen fountain pen and a waterbrush, it is so beautiful.

When you spend the evening scrolling for inspirational art videos and then wake in the morning realising that you forgot to look at a key artist for inspiration - your own work.

Seeing my art and reminding myself of the joy that I got from creating these pieces is all the inspiration I need to get my pens and pencils out this weekend and dissappear in to an art bubble!

We get so caught up with seeing how awesome everyone else is on social media, we often forget that we are pretty awesome too. 😍

Been an amazing year with a new job which meant my art has taken a back seat, however, I still seem to have done a few drawings and also a couple of commissions.
