I also got to go to the Scarborough Stitching show held by The Stitching Lady in August.
I found some lovely Autumnal sock yarn(That I was so excited to wind up before I'd even taken a picture)
I also found some more bouclé yarn.
The Pumpkin embroidery was a must for My Halloween soul.
I then grabbed the Spirited Jumper pattern as a last minute decision.
My Aunty had found out about another craft fair so We popped in on the way home. I found the Felt hedghog kit and couldn't resist how cute it was.

I had a fun trip to Newcastle for the North East Wool show back in August.
I saw a few vendors I recognised from last year plus a load of new ones.
I stocked up on fabric and thread from Kate's Kloths to make some more wreaths.
Finally found some Red 4ply to make Turtle clones gloves They've been asking for.
I found some Boucle yarn from Attic Spin Dye and on the mannequin next to it was a free pattern from revelry that only takes 1 skein of yarn for the smaller sizes. Decided to give it a go and bought 2 skeins just in case.
There was also a lovely Lady from Kath Andrews designs wearing a gorgeous shawl in Purple and Blue hues and I just had to get the pattern.
I always pick up cards from different companies to look back on and this time there was some for a company focused on spinning and weaving which is 2 things I would love to get into when I have the time,money and space.

After taking a year and a half off work to look after My Dad I am officially back.
My savings have taken a huge chunk from being off work,moving house and We also lost Our gorgeous boy JD(pictured).
So now My Dad is doing better I have more time to focus.
I have loads of things I want to get back to as well as new things to try.

I also did a Umbreon cross stitch card for My friend.
I didn't add any Happy Birthday or anything on the front so She has the choice to frame it.
I learnt I need better frames for cross stitching as no matter how much I ironed it You can still see where the hoop sat.

I can post this now it's been received.

I found the Witcher cross stitch and knew I had to make it for a friend but I decided to take on the mammoth challenge of making it into a bag.
I found a Witcher Keyring and a wolf zip pull to add the extra touches.
Stitching the cross stitch was the easy part but I forgot to wash the main fabric beforehand so when rinsing off the water soluble fabric the main fabric warped.
So I cut out the middle circle of another piece and sandwiching it on top. Which worked until the denim fabric started fraying(must buy antifray stuff) Sewing over it wasn't enough to stop the fraying. So I distressed around the rest of the stitching to add 'character'
It was the first time I've done an inside zip pocket and strap.
I impressed Myself with how easy the strap was to make especially as My cutting board isn't very big so I had to fold the fabric into quarters.
Turtle Clone's response was that it is amazing and if Our didn't like it She would be in the bad books because of all the muttering She could hear through the wall while I was making it 😆
Safe to say I think it was received well as My friend went to go upstairs with only the bag and forgot about Her other presents 😆

When I got the fidget dragon pattern I noticed there was the bat pattern and just had to get it.

What better place to take a picture than Whitby during Goth weekend. Unfortunately We went on the most wet and miserable day ever. The added spookyness was great but You can't even see the Abbey.
Throughout Our visit She spent Her time hiding in My pocket and eventually was given the name Lilith.

My Friends son turned 6 and so I knew I had to make Him something fun.
I came across the pattern for this fidget dragon and knew I just had to.
I asked My friend for His son's favourite colours and got to work.
I have to admit I struggled to read the pattern but there are plenty of links to videos which was a huge help.
Will definitely be making more.....especially as this is the small one and I may have bought the pattern for the bigger one. There's also loads of add-ons to add more fun details.

I have had this Stitch coat for ages. It's one of My favourites. The zip has been dodgy since day 1 but I learnt to deal with it until the zip pull broke.
I decided that I can easily replace it.
Could I have got a simple navy blue zip to replace it with.....of course.....did I.....well of course not.
No no no I had to find a sparkly new zip pull and just happened to find one that was Stitch. Then realising You can get zips with different coloured teeth I had to get the one that matched the zip pull. Then to complicate things even further I found matching zip stoppers and added Them to.
The first attempt at the zip stoppers didn't go to well and I had to try again. All was okay until I zipped up the zip to match the sides ready to sew and one the stoppers fell off so I had to re do it yet again.
It's not fantastic but it does the job and now My zip is really pretty ✨

Having moved house I have walls I can decorate.
I decided to make this Mandala and although I'm proud of making it I'm not sure on the colour. Simply because it didn't get as light as I had hoped on the edges so matches My walls too much.
This is currently in the 'to think about' pile
