The Growling Shrew is a family run, independent, speciality bottle shop proudly located in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We are not an archetypal off-licence as we aim to celebrate and source products from amazingly talented small independent brands predominantly from within the UK. We offer a diverse range of craft and traditional b**rs, c***rs and artisan gins catering for a variety of customer preferences, flavours and styles. Whether that’s from our wide selection of bottled or canned products, or our refillable Growlers, giving you hassle free fresh from the keg b**r and c***r to take-away and enjoy. As part of curating both our core and continuously evolving ranges, the story and provenance behind the products your buying is important to us. Thus, ensuring what you find on our shelves has been selected for more than just a cool looking label, a quirky off the wall name or an ABV% that’ll have you singing sweet nothings to your mirrored reflection! We are passionate about the craft and traditional b**rs, c***rs and artisan gins we offer, and look forward to you calling into our shop. Our tasting adventures haven’t taken us everywhere, so we’ve not yet come across everything.
