A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has been to visit us over the past three weeks. We have been so inundated with messages of love and support and I am so so grateful for every one.

I’m going to take a break now but fully plan to be back soon with book recommendations and maybe some events/storytimes. Thanks again to everyone who has supported us over the years-it’s been so wonderful and Bear Bookshop could never have happened without you ❤️

One of our favourite projects was our Bear Bookworms Challenge which we did with 3 local schools. Nearly 1000 local children took part and earned themselves a free book. It was such a pleasure to see so many children enthusiastic about books!

Bear Bookshop Memories!
We have been so lucky to be part of a wonderful community and to work with so many brilliant local organisations and groups. One of our favourite partnerships was with who helped us deliver Wild Storytime, where children got to enjoy lots of outdoor play and stories with marshmallows round the fire!

We have hosted many, many lovely young people on work experience placements over the years. We have loved working alongside young people from different backgrounds and with different abilities. This is Joel, who did a 6 week placement with us in 2024 and was super helpful and enthusiastic!

Pop in between 10.30 and 2.30 for stories, cake, crafts and drinks and share in the many happy memories we have created together over the past 5 years.

We are still taking orders and everything is reduced in store. We are open as normal until the 27th!
