Is it a red? Is it a rosé? No, it's a 'blouge'!

"Blouge?" - I hear you ask. That's a red w**e made from a blend of white and red grapes, blanc and rouge as it were, therefore 'blouge' (and yes, I do feel a bit dirty typing that). The aim is for a w**e with exception freshness and massive drinkability, something the French refer to as glou-glou.

Just in are two fascinating reds from Famille Fabre, vignerons indépendants depuis 1605 , based in the heart of the Languedoc. The Syrah-Viognier is their blouge. 80% Syrah, 20% Viognier for a floral, fresh red with beautiful aromatics, ideal for drinking chilled.

Also just in is their no-added sulphur Lux Levis, a sophisticated, refined old vine Cinsault, refined, elegant and oozing charm.

London's Pretty Decent B**r Co make their first appearance on our shelves, including their 'I Could Get Better In T*SCO For A Quid' which came in a #4 in We Are B**r's 'Top 50 UK B**rs' for 2026.
is represented by a couple of classics like Goulden Carolus Tripel from Het Anker and Timmermans Kriek Black Pepper Lambic.
There's new beers from DEYA Brewing Company, as well as a top-up on Steady Rolling Man, which topped the 'Top 50 UK B**rs' this year.
C***r lovers are catered to with some proper Breton c***r.
And last but not least - some fresh from Nothing Bound Brewing Co.

Unicorn - something unusual, rare, or unique
The fantastic folks at West Midlands Distillery have surpassed themselves. Today has seen the release of not one, but two 'unicorn' whiskies.
The Siblings are a deliberately contrasting pair of single malts created from sibling first-fill ex-bourbon casks - one left pure, one transformed by peat-smoking the oak itself.
There's only a tiny quantity of each available - hence the unicorn designation - available in-store only
