There comes a point in some gardens when you realise it isn’t more space you need, it’s simply a little more privacy. An overlooking window or an unwanted view can change how relaxed you feel outside, even when everything else in the garden is lovely 🌿

That is why we have always liked Pleached and espalier trees. Their clear stems leave room for planting underneath, while the trained canopies create a beautiful living screen exactly where it is needed. With the right frame height and spacing, they bring privacy without making the garden feel enclosed.

We have a lovely collection of pleased trees here at Earlswood Garden & Landscape Centre, and also online on our website. If you’d like to bring or send us photos, along with your rough boundary measurements and fence height, then our team will be delighted to help you find the right option for your garden 🌳
