Victorian Oil Painting In Original Frame Depicting The Gambler

A very striking oil painting dating from the Victorian era. The subject seems to be a Gambler on a losing streak. There are two minor blemishes on the painting itself as shown on our photos. Otherwise the painting is in good order and the colours are vibrant and clear The gilded frame is in good order and suits the painting.

Typically French in style and in good general order.
The upholstery is in good condition with small signs of use. The braiding has been recently replaced.
