I bought my first Christmas present yesterday, and it's only mid-September.

I need a minute.

This is exactly what my mum has been doing for years, and I have spent almost 38 years thinking it was unhinged. 😂

Turns out she was just a person who didn't want to leave things to the last minute and sit in a corner panicking like I do every single year!

Newsflash: I usually end up sobbing over it all, worried that I haven't bought everyone enough.

Obviously, she was right to start early. I was wrong. I admit it. 😅

This week was hard before I even picked up a pair of scissors.

I was exhausted, I was in pain, and I made a floral birthday card anyway. It took two days instead of one.

Vellum flowers, glitter everywhere to the point that I resembled Edward Cullen, and several moments of wondering why I was bothering.

And then it was done, and it was exactly what I wanted it to be.

I was proud of myself for persevering and not letting my pain and exhaustion defeat me.

Most people don't know that chronic deficiencies run on a cycle. Mine's every seven weeks like clockwork.

The fatigue hits; I adapt; I come out the other side. Then we do it all over again.

I'm in the middle of figuring out how to keep making things I care about around a body that doesn't always cooperate.

Just know that I am quietly working away in the background, whether that's coming up with ideas for future products or designing things; I am still here working away to the best of my ability. I may just be quiet for the next few weeks.

Finding the perfect card for an alternative wedding is almost impossible. When I got married on Halloween, I quickly learned how hard it is to find invitations that match a darker, more dramatic aesthetic, and I was sure that wedding cards would pose the same problem. Luckily, I was able to design my own invites at the time.

A little behind-the-scenes post today! 🎬

I have officially finished designing the Wedding Template Suite collection over the weekend, and I am so proud of it! I am now in the process of making a video tutorial on how to edit and print all of the templates I have created.

This has been such a huge project and a great distraction for me since losing my nan back in May. I am finding joy again in creating things, and this has definitely been a labour of love. 🥰
