Hey everyone 👋🏻
I realised it was the start of the New Year (I’m so outta touch with dates it’s unbelievable 😂) and I realised that we’ve gained a lot of new friends along the way so it was probably time for a re introduction!
I’m Katie, based in Essex with my three beautiful steeds - Jack, JLo and Teddy. I’m the current Events Director for the British Horseback Archery Association, an ex GB member (my competition days are looong behind me 😆), an Events Manager and horse archery coach! I’m always out and about, known for quite literally bouncing around with a coffee cup secured in my hand. Outdoor hikes are where you can find me and when the snow conditions are right I’ll even occasionally be out on the skis! I adore sports with the mission this year to get better on ice skates! ❄️
I created this page a few years ago to promote my coaching for Horse Archery but also realised it was a great way to provide a very realistic ‘day in the life’ of having horses. This page is very real, very honest and judgement free! We’re all human beings just trying to navigate a way through life 🫶🏻
Now onto the bit that you all probably care more about, my trio of hooligans 🤣
The main man himself is a bit of a legend amongst the horse archery community. Jack is very well known for being a speedy patchy and adores his job! 🤭 Jack and I regularly go out and compete in showjumping, turn our hoof to a bit of XC every now and again and have a blast together doing stunt things that gives my poor mum grey hair 🙈😂
Next up is the pretty lady Jlo who is the Queen B off us all. As many who meet her will agree with me when I say she is sassy, opinionated and so full of character. Jlo and I had been competing in dressage and slowly started to make our way over to some teeny tiny showjumps when she decides she wants to play. Jlo has seen a little bit of the horse archery but is a bit too dramatic for it still so Jack happily takes the spotlight being the King of it 🌟
Last up is boss man Teddy. Teddy originally wasn’t a purchase I thought ild be making but he joined the family after Jlo fell in love with him. I got suckered in when they both used to call to each other with Jlo constantly jumping the field fences to get in with him (and yet this mare tells me she doesn’t understand a showjump 🤣🤣) Teddy brings the mischief and is always escaping 😅
It’s always a circus of chaos but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
