Well during a partial solar eclipse we had a swarm land on our WBC (William broughton Carr) hive! Amazing we also caught it on time laps camera filming the behaviour of our bees during a solar eclipse.

We all had such a fabulous time today on our Bee Curious session. It’s great to see the children and parents enjoying taking part and the inquisitive minds. As Promised we are adding 2 more dates for Bee Curious. Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th August. 10.30am till noon. £20 per child including a small ice cream and drink. (Accompanying parents free). A great thank you again to everyone who visited us this weekend and those who have shared their visit with others. We’ve had a great time talking to everyone and some lovely reviews. We were so busy we didn’t get any pics. Wendy has been taking it easy this weekend after an unexpected surgery this week (probably a bit too easy😆🤣) but she was still there with her smile in the shop and to have a good natter with everyone. Thank you for visiting the bees and supporting your local beekeepers 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Friday again and the weekend is nearly upon us.
New doggie ice cream from Burgess Ice Cream Ltd we have been asked so many times for it so now it’s here.
Our bees have been busy and we have extracted some beautiful honey and that’s in the shop.

Our seating area on a weekend is becoming a real social hub where people are arranging to meet with family and friends, we offer hot and cold drinks and delicious ice creams. Come along this weekend our queen in the observation hive has been really active this week so pop into the viewing area and see if you can spot her!.

Wow. Thank you to everyone who visited this weekend. We’ve had our busiest weekend since we opened. Was great to see so many people sat in the seating area enjoying their drinks, ice cream and picnics. We enjoyed meeting everyone. From Scotland,London , Sheffield, Leeds,York and so many local villages and towns. We were absolutely blown away. We put a visitor book out for the first time today. Thank you Carol Deighton-Mathias for being the first to comment in the book and everyone who commented in the book today. We appreciate everyone who comes to visit the bees and support our small business. ❤️🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 A huge Thank you ☺️.

We have 4 new honeys in the shop tomorrow!!! We are not going to tell you what they are you will have to come and visit us. THEY ARE DELICIOUS!! If you haven’t been to visit we have delicious ice cream’s hot and cold drinks lovely seating area and not to forget our amazing honey bee 🐝 viewing area. We have had lots of great facebook and google reviews take a look 👀. Don’t forget our bee curious sessions for the children.Also coming soon! Loads of interest for a unique opportunity to come on one of our extraction days more details to follow. We are open this weekend 10 until 3.
