📣 Opening today! The Golden Key at FORGE 📖✨
Each month at FORGE, we present a new group of independent designers connected by a different theme. This year, our showcases take inspiration from book titles linked to distinguished jewellery designers.

April’s showcase, The Golden Key, takes inspiration from jeweller Tamara Gomez, known for her use of rough diamonds and gemstones, and celebrates the magic found within the earth’s hidden treasures.

“Here he stood and pondered. It could not be that the way stopped here, else what was the path for?... something glittered, and he caught sight of a row of small sapphires. They bordered a little hole in the rock. ‘The keyhole!’ he cried.” — The Golden Key by George MacDonald

This showcase explores geological wonder through jewellery and silversmithing, drawing on the beauty of gemstones, raw surfaces, sparkle, depth and imperfection. Each piece offers its own sense of discovery, revealing individuality and wonder through material, process and form.

Expect beautifully made work created in small quantities by designers who care deeply about skill, materials and making. From refined, timeless pieces to bold contemporary statements, every piece reflects the hand and mind behind it.

✨Festive Silver Jewellery Workshop Party✨

🎄 Join Steph, Jo and myself for a magical, social evening of creativity and festive cheer with music, mulled drinks and yummy nibbles! Great to do with a best friend or family member, and of course a lovely twist on the traditional office party, offering small work groups a chance to unwind, connect, and celebrate the season in a memorable creative way.

🎄 In this special seasonal workshop, you’ll hand-pierce and roll-print your very own decorative sterling Silver Holly Leaf Pendant, complete with glowing red carnelian berries, and that’s not all!

Learn how to make a pair of hoop earrings for you or someone special from recycled silver to a size and style of your choice!
A fun and immersive 3 hour workshop designed for all abilities

Wednesday 3rd December 2025
6pm – 9pm

£75.00
+ silver (which is weighed by the gram at the end)

Working with round or square section recycled sterling silver using traditional silver fabrication skills of sawing, texturing, punching, soldering, forming and polishing.

You get to choose the size, shape and whether you'd like your hoops fixed from a soldered ear post with butterfly stopper or dangly from handmade ear-wires. If desired, finish your hoops with small decorative handmade silver charms.

Each class will be kept to a maximum of 6 people aged 16 years and over.
