We don’t have much flowering at the moment - but we do have some exciting zinnias coming soon.

We’ve paused flower deliveries and gate sales until our zinnias and dahlias get going. Hoping that won’t be too long 🤞

Off to Drayton (near Langport) village hall for the produce market. We’ll be there from 10-12.

We have lots of bunches of beautiful, locally grown fresh flowers. We’re also selling flowers you can dry yourself - perfect for lovely dried flower arrangements or wreaths.

Do come and support us - it’s been a tough season for anyone trying to grow anything 😊

Seed pods dry out super quick in this heat - so it’s a perfect time to collect my own seeds.

I was struck by the beauty of this deconstructed Lavatera seed pod. Particularly the silvery discs that hold the seeds. They look like mini ammonites tucked inside their delicate papery shell.

We’re back! Flower delivery on its way to Norton Community Shop and Shepton Stores, Kitchen & Deli this morning.

Last week’s heatwave was pretty disastrous for us and we have lost literally thousands of flower stems.

We are anxious about what July and August will bring - but are keeping our fingers crossed that our 300 dahlia plants will do well🤞and they’ll keep us going over the next few months.

We’ve also got lots of heat loving zinnias and celosia in the polytunnels too 🌸 so all is not lost - yet 😬

But the British flower industry is slowly coming back to life thanks to a growing number of small scale flower farmers like ourselves.

We grow with nature, supporting biodiversity and the local environment. No nasty sprays, no chemical fertiliser, no plastic wrapping.
