Art Deco figurative Chalkware sculpture
This large, stunning piece is known as "L'Âge du Bronze" or the "Bending Bar Man" was originally designed by the famous Romanian-born Art Deco sculptor Demétre Chiparus (1886–1947) around the 1920s.
The piece captures the masculine dynamism and athletic ideal celebrated during the Art deco era.
This Chalkware sculpture has a multi-tone patinated finish, combining a rich dark brown body with a copper-green patina on the structural base.
The makers name “Arnova 413” has been impressed into the base.
A large, stunning centrepiece on any table or eye catching item for interior design.

Antique weathered stone head
Another item from my personal collection………
This amazing architectural salvage was purchased, after much persuasion, from a demolition yard that had demolished a gothic church in Teesside.
The piece was one of four heads on the church steeple but as it had slight damage to head and beard , the owner agreed to sell me the piece.
The head has a stunning, weathered, green finish to it with a dark-overlayed patina. The bust features a bearded male in the archaic or medieval aesthetic .
The bearded male, with a prominent moustache , features strong facial lines, deep-set eyes, and an authoritative look about it. The bust does have some slight damage to the hair and beard, which is to be expected due to its age!
This one off, hand crafted, antique piece would make a stunning addition to any mancave, tattoo studio, interior design or retail display.
