Im running the Great North Run next Sunday 13th for Brain Tumour Research in memory of my beautiful younger Daughter Steph 🩷
All money from the sale of my GNR souveniers (now in their 10th year) - cards, magnets and A4 pictures will be added to my fundraising.
✨️I also have 20 pairs of moon & stars earrings left ✨️
I may even send a Well Done card to myself after the run/walk😅

Proposed changes to budget proposals
Following feedback from residents and after securing additional Government funding, we are revising two proposals in the draft Medium Term Financial Plan for 2026/27.

📚 Keep all library opening hours as they are
🛍️ Continue to directly manage The Word shop for the year ahead

This change represents around £150,000 within an overall savings requirement of £11.8 million, and comes after sustained lobbying for additional resources.

All other proposals in the draft MTFP remain unchanged and will be considered by Borough Council at the end of the month.

We continue to prioritise vital statutory services such as adult and children’s social care, school transport, safeguarding and waste collection, while managing rising demand and cost pressures across the sector.
