What a great way to spend my day off. After a very early start I fished the Shambles bank off Portland with my good friend and regular fish chaser John Baggs. First off was to catch some bait, plenty of lovely launce on small feathers and with the odd bonus mackerel thrown in, great fun. Once bait was sorted we went to set up the first drift. I managed a Turbot on the first drift, nothing massive but always good to get the first on the boat. π Over the day we managed to catch 9 Turbot (final tally 5-4 to me π), the best being 8lb, I had another of 6 and quarter. John also had a few nice fish as well. We also managed, 4 Blondes, the best two are shown below, a Bull Huss, a bass and I had a random whiting that forgot summer is just around the corner. Fantatic days fishing and look forward to the next trip down there. πππ£
