At our Barry store, one appointment with a guinea pig turned into something much bigger - a clinic designed around people with additional needs, not processes.

The only clinic of its kind offering specialised inclusive care, shaped by Director Helen Hopgood and her team exclusively at their store.

So much of caring happens behind the scenes, every day.

For Carers Week, Graham and Matthew reflect on the care they witness first-hand through Home Visits.

Not every impact can be measured. Some are simply felt.

For Gemma, one of our home visits audiology partners, it’s those moments where someone feels included again that stay with her the most.
With the right support around you, you can make a real difference to people’s lives every single day.

In Home Visits, no two days are the same, and sometimes the care goes beyond the clinical.

Recently, Lynne completed her Mental Health First Aid training, giving her the confidence to spot when colleagues or customers might need extra support and know how to respond.

It’s made a real difference to how she carries out appointments and how she shows up for people every day.

“I absolutely feel so valued in what I do.”

Since joining our marketing team three years ago, Claire’s explored roles across contact lens marketing and marketing operations, growing her career in a whole new direction after starting in B2B.

But for her, it’s the support around her that’s made the biggest difference. 😊

“For me, it’s a real sense of fulfilment.”

Since joining our Home Visits team in Warrington, Kirsty knows she’s making a difference every single day — and she’s never doing it alone.

Working within her local patch, she’s surrounded by people who’ve got her back and supported with the flexibility to make work fit around life.

With strong benefits, opportunities to grow and a role she genuinely enjoys, Kirsty knows she’s exactly where she should be.
