Saturday plans look a little different when Christmas is getting closer…
There’s SO much happening behind the scenes at the moment, and I’m trying to get as much prepared as possible now before the really busy weeks begin. Future me will hopefully be very grateful for these extra Saturdays at work!

A little appreciation post for the person who has been there through so much of this crazy little business journey. Does he volunteer for everything? Absolutely not. Does he occasionally question what on earth I’m doing? Definitely. But he’s always there when it really matters, quietly supporting me and the business I’ve worked so hard to build. Pretty Perfect Gifts might be my dream, but having someone beside me while I chase it makes it even more special.

He’s very good at reminding me when it’s time to stop doing things and sit down. Although I’m fairly sure the cuddles are entirely for his benefit rather than mine. Wouldn’t change it though.

Product photography is basically 10% taking the photo and 90% moving things around by approximately 2mm until I’m happy.
I do love getting out of the workshop for photos though, especially when I’m photographing the autumn collection.
Sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what I need!

Do you think this is fair? I completely understand that everyone should be able to leave an honest review of their experience — and I’d never want that to change. But I do wonder whether one review should be able to have such a big impact on a small business that’s had years of brilliant feedback. And before this happened, I don’t think I’d realised quite how much difference there can be between someone leaving 4 stars because they’re happy and leaving 5 because they loved their order. I’d genuinely love to know what you think — is 4.8 a fair target for small businesses?
