Apologies for the lack of updates on this page recently — things have been exceptionally busy behind the scenes, and I wanted to share a bit of what’s been happening.
The workshop has entered a particularly strong and promising phase. What began as a focused practice in bow and instrument restoration has grown into a highly respected operation, known for its precision, reliability, and deep understanding of the craft. The steady increase in demand reflects not only the quality of the work being produced, but also the trust that my customers place in the workshop.
Restoration work remains the foundation of the business, and it is thriving. Each project—whether a delicate bow rehair, a structural repair, or a full instrument restoration—is approached with care and technical excellence. This consistency has allowed the workshop to build a solid reputation, resulting in a loyal client base.
At the same time, the business is evolving beyond restoration alone. A significant new development is the launch of a dedicated branch supplying high-quality bow hair to the bow making industry, to run alongside the existing business. This move is both strategic and organic, drawing on existing expertise while meeting a clear demand within the trade. By focusing on sourcing and preparing reliable, consistent bow hair, the workshop is positioning itself as a trusted supplier to makers who value quality materials as much as craftsmanship.
