Had a bit of a hiatus, I blame the heat, but feeling inspired again. Another attempt with oil pastels. They are certainly different to work with, you have to much looser and less detail driven, good to have a challenge.

Bit off piste. I’ve always wanted to incorporate landscapes so thought I’d give it a go with oil pastels, they naturally lend themselves to a looser approach. Think you’ll be seeing a lot more from now on, sorry not sorry 😂

I have a small set (12) of oil pastels and finally got round to trying them out. Very different medium and they are going to take some practice, but have a feeling they may become a favourite. They naturally force you to be less detailed and more painterly, which will be a nice contrast to how I usually work. More to come 😊
