Business Update

Hi Everyone,

The last couple of days have been a rollercoaster but I have managed to hold on and complete the ride.

My laser machine has died completely!
As with all machines it requires maintenance, part upgrades ect however it is now 8 years old and I can no longer purchase a new laser tube for it.
I have looked into a new machine however I don’t have a spare £1000 kicking around and if I did, upgrading to a new one it would mean also looking for an industrial unit as they are much bigger and more powerful then the “desktop” one I currently have.

After a rough couple of days and a lot of deliberation I have made the decision not to carry on using a laser machine and will be stopping doing any personalised wooden / acrylic items, basically 95% of my current business.

It couldn’t have come at a worse time of year as Christmas is where the business goes from having regulars orders to being completely inundated with orders.

It’s been a fantastic 7 years, from starting as a hobby making a couple of baubles for family to getting contract to make around 50 Christmas plaques a day for 2 months as a supplier for a well known UK company a couple of years ago.
I have learnt a lot about business, people and myself. I haven’t enjoyed every minute of it but I do love what I do.

This is not a goodbye, this is not the end, this is a rebrand. Luckily I have been experimenting with a few different things over the last 6 months and I am going to pursue them permanently. You may have seen my autumnal pumpkins, they were one of my experiments and ended up a lot more popular than I anticipated so I am going to continue with that type of product in the near future and see which path I head down from there.

Don’t worry, Christmas has not completely ended, you can still get you personalised sacks and stockings from me 😜

Hi Everyone,

The last couple of days have been a rollercoaster but I have managed to hold on and complete the ride.

Wow! I can't believe where the last 7 years has gone!
