Forget carrying an umbrella.
Canadian engineer John Tse built an autonomous flying umbrella that hovers above your head and follows you wherever you walk—completely hands-free.
The prototype uses drone technology, a depth-sensing camera, and onboard AI to track its user while providing shade or shelter from the rain. It currently flies for about 10–15 minutes per charge and is still an experimental project, but it offers a glimpse of what personal technology could look like in the future.
