This incredible Charles I Jacobean style case Broadwood upright piano dates to 1883 and was the property of artist G. Harry Wallis FSA, son of artist George Wallis FSA who put together the collections of the V&A and the Great Exhibition. Wallis jnr, trained at the South Kensington museum (now known as the V&A) put together the Nottingham Castle Museum and Gallery amongst a great many other things. His personal piano was latterly donated and somehow eventually ended up here, in Westcliff, and we acquired it last year. It's currently seeking a new home so if interested just get in contact.
