Here are a few clues that your fish tank may not be in optimal condition and how to fix them.
🫧 Fish gasping near the surface? Use an oxygen test kit like the Tetra Test O2 to check oxygen levels. If they're low, add an air pump, air stone or temporarily switch off CO2.
💧 Brownish or tea-coloured water? This is usually caused by excess tannins. Add Seachem Purigen to your filter bag to get your water back to crystal clear.
😴 Fish lethargic after water changes? This is a classic sign of shock. Tap water should always be treated beforehand, but if there's any doubt, add Seachem Prime to detoxify chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals immediately.
