🌽🌽🌽 Maize maze 🌽🌽🌽

We've had a fab morning out at Pumpkin Patch at Sarah Green's, Essex. doing their Maize Maze, playing games and now at home with our cake! They are open today and tomorrow and we would highly recommend it for anyone local! We were super pleased they opened earlier today so we missed the hottest part of the day 😀

It won't be long before we start talking about the C word (a matter of weeks in fact!), but we hope you're enjoying (or at least keeping safe in) the sunshine 🌞

🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪Ireland Tour🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪

3 weeks ago Mum and Dad went to Ireland for a visit with The Christmas Tree Growers Council of Europe.

They both had a wonderful time and have come back with loads of ideas that we are hoping to implement here at West Hyde. So you’ll have to come and see us this year to see what they brought back with them (I’m hearing rumours of s’mores 😬).

Just a little update as to what we've been up to over the last couple of weeks, stopping the leaders from running away and shaping the trees that we'll be selling this year 🎅

Yesterday we opened for the first day of our Easter Egg Hunt, and what a day it was! It was so lovely to see our festive customers but also to welcome some new faces who hadn't been before. The little people loved being out in the trees and a lot of fun was had! 🍰☕️🍰Pen’s Pantry🍰☕️🍰

This is not an April fools! Pen’s Pantry will be open this Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-4. You don’t have to be part of the Easter Egg Hunt to come and enjoy all of the usual treats.

As well as the usual suspects there will be some Easter themed goodness, with cornflake nests and hot crossed buns to name just two.

We can’t wait to see you all this weekend!

🎄🌲🎄Pruning Season🎄🌲🎄

This week we have been busy getting ready for our Easter Egg Hunt as well as getting our trees into shape before they start growing!

We have been busily shearing, Basel pruning and fork pruning the first three plots (7,6 & 5 years old). We can’t wait to see what you think when you see them all when you come to choose your tree this Christmas!

This weekend we were lucky enough to visit Hans, Julie and Christian at their farm in Kent. They showed us around their plantation as well as how they grow trees from seed, which is something we have often discussed trying. Thank you to them for their hospitality and we certainly learned a lot.

We were also joined by CropAngel who are importers of DJI crop spraying drones, that are used to apply fertiliser. It was fantastic to see them and what they are capable of. Thank you to Chris and Harry for taking time out of their weekends to demonstrate their drones, now we just need to keep Jack away from the company purse!

🐣🐰🐣 Easter Egg Hunt Update 🐣🐰🐣

We are so egg-cited that we've had bookings for our Easter Egg Hunt but we've had a mishap with our booking system (it's all new for us so sorry for any confusion we have caused!)

Thank you to those that have booked. Due to an issue on the booking system, the initial booking slot was showing as an hour, which was stopping other people from booking. We have now fixed this so the time slot is 15 minutes but this is just an arrival time, not the amount of time you'll be out doing the Easter Egg Hunt (unless your kids run round at the speed of light!)

For those of you that have tried to book but it appeared we were already fully booked, we have now got the remaining slots back on the website 😀 If you have any queries about this, or something doesn't look right with the available times then please message us and we will look into it!

No more egg-scuses from us - everything should run smoothly from now on!

Booking is now open for the our Easter Egg Hunt!

This easter we see our Easter Egg Hunt in the trees, fun easter games and activities and Pen's Pantry will be open for all your favourite West Hyde treats.
All children can take part in our Easter Hunt, which will be held amongst our home grown Christmas trees. Babies in arms are free of charge and do not require a ticket.

Dates and Times: Thursday 2nd - Saturday 4th April 10:00am - 4:00pm
Price: £5 per child taking part
Prizes: One prize per entry, a selection of sweet treats or crafts will be available
Booking: Booking is required, follow the link below to make sure you don't miss out
Activities: As well as the Easter Egg Hunt there will be games and activities to enjoy
Pantry: Pen's Pantry will be open with sausage rolls, tasty treats and hot drinks

After many requests for sausage rolls and homemade cakes throughout the year, we have decided to open over Easter.

We will be holding an Easter egg hunt in the trees and the pantry will be open for all your favourite West Hyde treats.
