At home, you’d NEVER think about having pastries, chocolate and a doughnut for breakfast…

But the minute you’re on an all-inclusive holiday, suddenly it seems perfectly acceptable. 😂

You walk into breakfast planning to be sensible…

Then you see the pastries.

Then the chocolate.

Then somehow a doughnut ends up on the plate at 9am. 🍩🤣

Apparently normal breakfast rules simply don’t apply on holiday!

☀️ Is Ibiza One Of The BEST Places For A Holiday? 🇪🇸

When you mention Ibiza, most people immediately think of clubs and nightlife…

But there's a completely different side to the island. ❤️

Beautiful little coves, crystal-clear water, beachside restaurants, incredible sunsets and places where you can simply sit with a drink and watch the world go by.

You can have the busy Ibiza experience if you want it… or spend the whole holiday doing almost the complete opposite. 😂

For us, that's part of what makes it such a great place to visit.

🌿 Finding Places Worth Your Time & Money ❤️

If you're looking for somewhere that can turn into a proper little day out, The Barn at Scorton is definitely one to know about.

Set in the lovely Lancashire village of Scorton, The Barn isn't just somewhere to stop for food. There's a large restaurant, cakes and coffee, a gift shop and plant centre — and you're right near Nicky Nook if you fancy adding a countryside walk. 🥾

The menu has plenty of choice too, from sandwiches and homemade chips to daily specials, grills and their Sunday roasts with those HUGE Yorkshire puddings. 😍

It's exactly the sort of place we enjoy finding — somewhere you can have a wander, get something nice to eat and make more of the day without needing an elaborate plan.

🍛 Finding Restaurants Worth Your Time & Money ❤️

Have you tried JT Akshaya yet? We can't wait to go back. It was stunning.

The food is a little different from what you might expect from a typical Indian restaurant. JT Akshaya specialises in authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan flavours, mixing familiar favourites such as Chicken Madras and Kashmiri Rogan Josh with dishes you might not have tried before — including speciality Dosas, flaky Parottas, crispy Mutton Rolls and Yogurt Chaat Bombs. Their menu is designed to bring traditional flavours into a more contemporary dining experience, so it's a great place to be a little adventurous and order something completely new. 🍛🥘

They now have TWO locations in the North West — Liverpool and Southport — specialising in authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan food, alongside some of the Indian favourites we're probably more familiar with.

And people certainly seem to like them…

⭐ Liverpool — 4.6/5 on Google from 3,200+ reviews

We visited the Southport restaurant and one of the first things you notice is the interior — blossom trees, greenery, atmospheric dining areas and a huge aquarium. It's definitely not your typical Indian restaurant!

The menu also gives you the opportunity to move away from your usual curry and try something different, with dishes including Dosas, Parottas, Mutton Rolls and Yogurt Chaat Bombs.

With two locations now to choose from, this could be one to add to your list if you're around Liverpool or Southport.

🌊 Does A Drink Just Taste Better By The Sea? 🍹

Give us a harbour, a sea view and somewhere to sit with a drink and we’re happy.

There’s something about watching the boats, listening to the water and having absolutely nowhere you need to rush off to.

It doesn’t need to be an expensive day out either — sometimes one drink with a great view is all you need.

🌊 Finding Food With A View Worth Your Time & Money ❤️

We stopped at The Harbourfront Bistro at Newry Beach in Holyhead and went for something a little different — a selection of tapas-style small plates to share.

And this is exactly why we love this way of eating. 😍

Rather than choosing ONE big meal, you get to order a few different dishes, put everything in the middle and try a bit of each.

Add in the waterfront location overlooking Holyhead harbour and it makes for a lovely relaxed place to sit, eat and enjoy the surroundings.

Although there is always one problem with sharing plates…

What happens when you BOTH want the last one? 😂
